SOULVATION Show with Rich Chocolate First of all, let me welcome you to the indulgence that is sweet sticky soul music on the SOULVATION Show. I consider myself a music lover first and foremost but my conversion to the love and devotion of soulful music was founded on back in the day listening to the independent (i'm sure they used to be called pirates lol) radio stations of yesteryear, numerous years of soul record buying together with sporadic afternoons pilfering my Mum, Dad, Cousin's, Aunt's & Uncle's record collections. Over the last few years I have evolved from DJ’ing as part of the CrushGroove ensemble at various London clubs (Eve, Mayfair Club, Rock Garden), to hosting my own regular Live SOULVATION monthly Sunday Soul Sessions at various venues across London which showcased emerging and unsigned acts such as Fae Simon, Shae Soul, to becoming an honorary member of the Toyboyz soundsystem DJ'ing at nights featuring Gwen Dickey & Omar, to being involved on the Jazz Stage of Luton Carnival for the last three years, to finally hosting radio shows. My mission on the SOULVATION show is to bring you my interpretation of the best in past, present, emerging and future soul talent, so you can invest in the rich musical tapestries weaved by these progressive modern day & yesteryear soul artists because I believe that soul music is an art form that remains criminally overlooked. For good measure there will be competitions and updates on the best concerts and theatre productions happening around town.
